IBT launched this campaign in Swat-Kohistan (Bahrain tehsil in Swat) in order to prioritize education among the locals, mobilize them for advocacy for more schools, and quality and retention at the existing schools. Under this program an initial study[1] and documentary[2] were done on education in the area. Finally, the locals networked into a larger Jirga under the name of Swat-Kohistan Qaumi Jirga i.e. Swat-Kohistan People’s Council.
